Official charitable purpose
Shekinah Tabernacle has been established to advance the Christian religion, primarily in the Wellington region but also nationally and internationally by practising the teaching all of the Holy Bible as determined by the church governance. The church will encourage and direct any willing person into a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and to be filled with the Spirit of God, to the wellbeing and saving of the individual and the living out of the attributes of the life of God being namely, love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance, to the benefit of the local community and society in general.
Organisation structure
Shekinah Tabernacle is governed primarily by the pastor of the church who oversees the day to day running of the church. There are also positions in the church that members are elected to that have a particular function that the pastor works with which are as follows: Trustees: The trustees are responsible for the financial management of the church which encompasses the receiving of donations to the purchasing of any item that the church needs. Shekinah Tabernacle has two trustees.
