To protect, preserve and enhance the natural environment of the Lower Kaituna, Maketu and Waihi Wetlands Area

Organisation structure

Members work to increase local and government support and funding for conservation initiatives in the area. This is done by developing organising and executing Biodiversity Management Plans, an education programme that now is in 12 local schools, working bees at all wetlands all year round, and developing, organising and executing comprehensive pest and alien plant control programmes. We work with other organisations and individuals to further our objectives.
