Official charitable purpose
The purpose of the trust is to enhance the educational and life outcomes for vulnerable/disadvantaged children and youth living in Geraldine township and/or its rural environs by providing, enabling and/or supporting locally based social work service(s) that provide for their needs.
Organisation structure
The Geraldine Children Social Work Trust is currently governed by a Board of six Trustees who are elected annually at the annual general meeting. GCSWT has agreed a set of Governance Protocols with all Geraldine district schools and early childhood education (ECE) providers which enables the delivery of GCSWT's social work service. GCSWT currently contracts two qualified social workers on a part-time basis to provide the social work service on demand for children/youth in the Geraldine area.
