Official charitable purpose
To establish a Heritage Park in the Selwyn area to maintain and preserve the area's history for the benefit of the Selwyn Community and general public.
Organisation structure
Governance of the trust is conducted by a board of up to 15 trustees, one board member shall be appointed by each of the Southbridge, Leeston and Dunsandel Community Committees, the Selwyn District Council, Te Taumutu Ranganga and the Ellesmere Historical Society. Up to nine members shall be elected at an Annual General Meeting of the Ellesmere Heritage Park Trust. Appointments shall be made on a three-yearly basis.
